4. Garret 1139070 Ace 250 Metal Detector: Great metal detector for a beginner. I recommend getting a pin pointer and a set of head phones as well. I have a good deal of trouble finding the item just using the detector as the pin pointer. I recommend headphones as people tend to look at you as obnoxious when you walk around and there is a constant ding ding ding ding. Good starter detector though!
