1. iRobot Roomba 630 Vacuum Cleaning Robot for Pets
: "Comparing it to the other Roombas I have seen at friends and relatives houses, and on youtube, this one has a larger brush that, as one reviewer commented, is much easier to clean than others (my Scooba and my full-size vacuum for instance) and doesn't get the fibers and hairs all wrapped around and pulled tight. The filter is bigger than I expected, which obviously means you won't have to clean it as often or pre-clean to keep it from loading up too quickly. I think the larger brush also helps it transition from flat surfaces to rugs to carpeting, both short and deep pile. Look at a youtube video to see how it works, because it is really hard to explain to someone new to the product just how amazing the process is."
2. Shark Navigator Elite Professional Lift-away Rotator - Model NV501
: "A little background. I live with two cats. I have both hardwood floors and carpet. My furniture is velour with soft cushions. I use Tidy Cats clumping litter for two litter boxes. Tidy Cats is a round pellet type litter and it gets everywhere. The cats, while short haired, shed quite a lot and I've only just been keeping up with the shed fur with regular vacuuming, grooming and sticky rolls. In short I desperately needed a new vacuum, but which one? I could take out a thirty year mortgage and buy a Dyson, but everything I've read says that there are several very good alternatives available to this. Ok, so once again, which one? After reading Micheal Flux's(thanks Michael!) review and the fact that it's almost less than half the Dyson DC41 Animal Complete I decided to purchase the Shark."
3. iRobot Roomba 760 Vacuum Cleaning Robot for Pets and Allergies
: "Yes, a normal vacuum does clean deeper. But I don't have time to vacuum daily and sometimes weekly but Roomba keeps my carpets looking freshly vacuumed and definitely helps with the dog hair. My dog hates my vacuum... she runs and hides when we turn it on. She sits and watches Roomba, she seems almost fascinated by it and she won't move when it comes near her... Roomba has to change direction. It may not get lint or all the hair the first time it vacuums but if you use it daily it will have your floors immaculate in just a few days."
4. Dyson DC41 Animal Complete Upright Vacuum Cleaner
: "I bought this Dyson (DC41) because my roommate is a 80lb Rottweiler pup. My old vacuum didn't do the job and couldn't remove fur that was caught in between the wall and carpet (where the dog sleeps). I quickly setup my new Dyson and went to work, the first thing I immediately noticed is how easy this vacuum is to maneuver and secondly the phenomenal sucking power. Anywhere the fur was stuck is now gone with one or two passes, amazing! The attachments that arrive with the Dyson are top notch and easy to use. Yes this is a pricey vacuum, but I think in the end it is well worth the cost."

5. Hoover Corded Cyclonic Stick Vacuum, SH20030
: "I have used this Vacuum almost every day for about 4 weeks and I like it. We have two small dogs that share our home, they are inside and outside many times during the day and track a moderate amount of grass and debris inside the house with each trip. I was looking for a small, light weight, corded room vacuum, bag-less design and adjustable for carpet and hardwood floors. Most of the reviews were positive about this item and I agree. The vacuum picks up well, easy to handle and empty, easy to see if dirt chamber is full (clear plastic). good power. Can clean the whole house with frequent emptying of the dirt chamber. Gets fairly low under furniture for cleaning. Nice vacuum for the money."

6. Shark Navigator Professional Lift-Away Vacuum Cleaner - Model NV356E
: "My friends and neighbors look at me funny when I start talking about my new vacuum because I can't stop with the accolades. I did read reviews on this vacuum, but they do not do it justice, this is a bada$$ piece of machinery. I have medium pyle carpet, and I can turn the brush off and it still pulls at the carpet! When you turn the brush on, it almost feels self propelled as the brush pulls it forward. I caught the end of a scarf(by mistake) and it sucked the entire thing into the hose before the brush shut off- looked like a cartoon it was so fast! with the canister 3/4 full, it still picked up loose cat litter and pet food. My carpet did not look dirty, but the first 5 feet I went back & forth I went over twice filled the canister a quarter of the way. My carpet runners have never been so clean, they look refreshed, newer even. My 20 yr old son commented on how much better our carpet looked and also said that it felt better, softer, "fluffier". My daughter made the smart-alec comment that I sound like an infomercial! My last vacuum sucked because it didn't suck, this vacuum doesn't suck because it sucks better than any other I've tried. This vacuum is absolutely awesome."
7. Oreck Commercial 2100RHS 8 Pound Commercial Upright Vacuum
: "I have allergies to just about everything, particularly dust. I have switched my upright to the Oreck using the hypoallergenic bags. The upright I used originally seemed to be doing the job, however, ten minutes after vacuuming I noticed dust particles settling on the furniture and everywhere else. Shortly thereafter I had a migraine. Since I switched to the Oreck, I no longer have to dust everything after vacuuming and have reduced my allergy symptoms significantly. The Oreck contains the dust particles in the hypoallergenic bag ,is light weight and flexible enough to vacuum in tight areas. Love it , love it, love it!"
8. Dyson DC39 Animal Canister Vacuum Cleaner with Tangle-free Turbine tool
: "This was a huge splurge and I wasn't sure it would be worth it. But, cleaning is much less of a chore using this bad boy. It's easy to maneuver and light enough to carry up and down the stairs easily. The suction is amazing and emptying the canister is a breeze. Not having to buy bags is a huge plus. I love how easy it is to vacuum under couches and chairs - so much better than an upright."
9. Hoover Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner
: "I have owned more vacuums than I care to count. I have wood floors in my kitchen, dining room and den. I have thick plush carpet in the rest of the house. I have a Braun canister vacuum for wood floors which is a pain to pull out on a daily basis so I wanted something I could park in a hidden corner of my kitchen that I could use daily. For 5 years I have suffered with an Electrolux stick vacuum that won't pick up anything so when I saw the ad for this vacuum I decided to buy one. I am so pleased with it. The vacuum not only picks up all the crumbs but picks up dry cat food that vacuums usually spit out the back. The only thing I wish it could do is adjust a bit lower than it can. I was not expecting any kind of performance on carpet but much to my surprise it actually did a good surface job. So good that I had to empty the cup halfway through. It moved with great ease on my carpet and throw rugs with the exception of a thick oriental rug in my dining room. The vacuum was hard to push against the nap of the rug. I thought the Hoover was easy to put together (one screw). I find the dirt cup easy to put in and take out and empty. One thing I had to do was turn it over after vacuuming and clean out cat hair (I have two persians) from the brush. The long hair had wrapped around the brush like a spool of thread. The vac is also very light weight. The battery is easy to insert and I had plenty of power left after vacuuming my whole house."

10. BISSELL Spotbot Pet Handsfree Spot and Stain Cleaner with Deep Reach Technology, 33N8
: "I purchased a Bissell Spot Bot last month and I have two cats and a puppy and we are using the spot bot 2-3 times a week. I love it and it really works, on set-in stains and surface stains. Yes, it leaves "crop circles" in your carpet, but if you use the hose after you clean the spot you can pick up more water and you can also brush the carpet so you can't see the circles anymore. If you are doing large areas or more than 4 spots you may get tired or adding and empty the water. For the 3 minute cycles you can do about 4-5 before you have to empty and add new water."
